Cherry Media Snags ME Award, XBIZ Awards Nomination

BARCELONA — Cherry Media has picked up its third award for Best Adult Mobile Company at the ME Awards 2011 and also has been nominated as Mobile Service Company of the Year at the 2012 XBIZ Awards for the second consecutive year.

"The XBIZ Awards nomination is in acknowledgement of Cherry Media’s targeted approach to a booming business area that is often shrouded by smoke and mirrors,” said Julia Dimambro, Cherry Media’s founder.

“Our unrivalled eight years in-sight and consumer focus in this sector offers adult service providers totally objective advice and strategies for creating the right service specific to the client’s traffic, budget and business objectives, rather than just selling our own products.”

The sixth ME Awards took place at the Royal Garden Hotel in London. The awards were attended by more than 300 industry professionals. Winners were decided by a judging panel, drawn from the ME contacts book and consisting of around 400 execs from all sectors of the business.

“We are just thrilled to have won this award in what has really become the biggest event in the mobile entertainment calendar,” Dimambro said.

"What makes it so fantastic for us is that we were chosen as the winner by hundreds of industry executives from all around the world. It’s just such an honor and a very proud moment to have been recognized in this way by our industry peers for the third time since the awards started."

Cherry Media launched in 2003. It offers content aggregation, distribution and back-end platform provision to partners all over the world.

"Julia is the undoubted princess of the mobile adult biz, although she should probably be queen as she's been performing her royal duties for long enough,” said Tim Green, executive editor of Mobile Entertainment.

"It's fantastic that she won again this year. No one represents the mobile adult sector with more enthusiasm or charm than Jules.”

Cherry Media brings more than eight years first-hand experience in monetizing adult services and content for mobile devices. The company’s suite of products and services includes a portfolio of mobile content covering more than 32 grading levels as well as a host of managed services for adult service providers looking to expand into the mobile arena, including hosted portals, streaming services, marketing and billing support, hand-picked affiliate programs and a host of value added services to combine with current mobile or web adult offerings.

The 2012 XBIZ Awards show, presented by MyFreeCams.com, is scheduled to take place Jan. 10.
